You know me!  I’m always looking for new challenges and getting transformed into a black chick was certainly one of the best I had in years!  It took of course several layers of body make-up to get that darker skin tone, and hours of hair crimping to get the afro hair style (no, it’s not a wig).

Funny anecdote, at the end of the 10hrs prep for make-up & hair, my make-up artist wanted to make me look even more like an African-American by trying to make my nostrils wider by stuffing them with baby bottle caps made of rubber and previously cut smaller. But theythey were cut too small and when I inhaled, they went deeper in my nose. She tried to removed the caps with a tweezer but the more I got panicked, the more I moved and inhaled faster and the more the caps vanished somewhere in my nose which got me real panicked. I sniffed water, tried to sneeze, Martin even blew in my mouth… nothing did it. So Martin said we should go to the hospital to have them retrieved. But after 10 hours of prep, I got super upset and told him that we would shoot this goddamn photo shoot anyways and that I would go to the hospital later. I bet you when looking at the phtoos, you cant even find a trace of my panic. That`s how professional I am 😉
The shoot ended around 2 a.m and I still had to take a shower to wash off all the make-up. I went to the hospital the next day. They could not find anything in my nose. So I guess somewhere during the night, I swallowed the caps. or maybe they are still stocked somewhere up my nose…. :-p
